Nailed a three pound bluefish and a short fat fluke at Jones Inlet this morning. Caught both on soft plastic bait at the bottom of ebb tide. Fished for only 90 minutes in the drizzling rain.

Nabbed three cocktail bluefish and a short fluke (15 inches) during two hours of fishing at Jones Inlet.

Fished the ebb tide with soft plastic white bait.

Caught three cocktail bluefish and a sea robin at Jones Inlet starting at the top of the ebb tide. All fish were caught on soft plastic bait. Saw many ohter cocktails caught.

Landed a schoolie bass at Jones Inlet during ebb tide. Dropped a few bluefish, including a five plus pounder that broke my fishing line.

A chilly 30 mph northeast wind made fishing at Jones Inlet painful. A few others anglers braved the weather, but end result, nothing caught by anyone.

Clumps of seaweed on every cast at Jones Inlet. Caught nothing, saw no one catch anything.

Four hours of fishing Jones Inlet, caught nothing. Saw three cocktail blues caught on lures and lots of skates on bait among the dozen fishermen working the surf between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Saw only one cocktail bluefish and about a dozen skates caught at Jones Inlet during the late morning and early afternoon flood tide. In total, there were about 30 people fishing on this Memorial Day.

Landed three cocktail bluefish at Jones Inlet this afternoon.

Saw heavy bird action working the surf at the Inlet at 2:30 p.m.
